Mitre 10 Kununurra Repaint

Pittard Painting repainted the exterior of the Mitre 10 store in Kununurra. It is a big steel building, and the finish had to be bold, clean and even from every angle.

Project Scope

Our team painted the following:

  • Steel wall cladding across the main store and rear shed

  • Lime green and orange feature panels

  • Pipework, downpipes and trim lines

  • Fascia and roofline edges

About the Project

The blue walls run a long way, and the building is tall. We worked from a boom lift to reach the upper sections, and sprayed the walls so the colour laid down evenly along the ribs of the cladding.

The green and orange panels needed clean, sharp edges against the blue. We masked each panel before painting so the lines stayed crisp.

We covered the air-con unit, water tanks and ground with drop sheets, and kept our gear tidy around the stock yard and entry.

Strong colours take a lot of punishment in Kununurra. Full sun, red dust and a long wet season all hit a steel building hard, so the preparation and the coating matter as much as the colour.
